Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary

Mulliner, Bentley's bespoke coachbuilding unit has designed a unique keycase to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the brand. It's made of Dark Stained Burr Walnut with Piano Black Veneer and includes a flying "B" paperweight, keys, and a booklet featuring never-before-seen 1930s 8 Litre images.

This is a great way to greet a new car owner.

Aesthetics

Bentley is a company who takes its aesthetics seriously. This is evident in the precise positioning of its quilting and the use of leather derived from cattle by-products and sustainable-managed forests, and the ingenuous patterns of its levers. A car like the Continental GT W12 beckons as you take it in to show its sculptural beauty and power by carefully curated lighting.

The Continental GT is Bentley's most sophisticated open-top car. The rear tonneau of Continental GT, for example, featured the biggest piece of dark-stained Burr Walnut veneer that was book-matched. Similarly, the electrically-operated glass sunroof and champagne cooler that incorporated hand-blown and hand-cut lead crystal bottles marked a new benchmark in luxury and innovation.

Bentley is the most sought-after automobile brand in the world due to its unique design and craftsmanship. The company continues to push the limits with the latest technology and craft, including the introduction of an instrument cluster that is digital as well as an electric tilt-opening rear glass sunroof, a custom-designed docking station for Apple iPads, and electrochromic smart glass that can be switched between opaque and transparent at the touch of the button.

A century since its founding, Bentley - now under sole Volkswagen ownership following years of wrangling with BMW and BMW - celebrated its centennial in 2019. Before the pandemic planning took center stage, the marque was hosting a variety of special events and launches planned to mark this milestone event.

Design

Bentley is famous for its extravagant and lavish cars, but even the keys are made to stand out. The Bentayga Key is made of sterling silver and features a large B' symbol to let everyone know that you're driving a Bentley. The Mulsanne was redesigned and improved by Bentley Mulliner to be the ultimate Grand Touring car. It features two opposing sets of rear seats that were inspired by the luxury of private aviation that provide passengers with unbeatable comfort and privacy. The bespoke heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system was designed to give every passenger the ideal climate control settings.

Alongside a series of refined styling updates The Mulsanne is powered by a twin-turbocharged 6.75-litre W12 engine that is capable of producing 560bhp and 479lb-ft of torque. This incredible power is complemented by a brand new suspension design that gives bentley key fob cover's signature hushed ride.

Bentley has introduced a special specification for cars made after the year 2019 in order to celebrate its centennial. This is called the Centenary Specification. The cabin is equipped with cross-stitching and contrast stitching in Centenary Gold throughout. Function

The Bentley Mulsanne Key comes with two buttons that open the trunk, and the other that starts the vehicle. It also has a switch to turn on the parking break. The knob can be used to fold or unfold the mirrors when parked in a tight space. This feature helps you get in and out of your vehicle.

The key is made of vegetable tanned leather. It takes two days to make each one. It is hand cut shape, sewn, sealed and polished to create an extremely high-end finish. It is light and compact and will fit the Bentley key perfectly. Its design is similar to the Volkswagen Phaeton large car's key however it feels heavier and Programming has a luxurious feel.

It also comes with Secure-A-Key which can help prevent keyless entry theft. This device is put inside the remote control key fob and disables it after a few minutes of inactivity. This prevents thieves from transmitting the key's frequency to other devices that can unlock and start the vehicle.

Personalisation

Bentley's bespoke division, Mulliner, allows customers to essentially design their own car. Customers sit at a set of images referred to as "mood stations" and pick a set of images ranging from scenic vistas to sporting events - that inspire them to design their own. As each selection is made, a pattern emerges which shows the models and colors of the custom Bentley.

The guests receive an individual key case created by hand that contains the R.F.I.D. enabled key cards. The keys are also equipped with Bentley Muliner Personalised Welcome Lamps that illuminate the door's opening pathway with the owner's name, or emblem as they arrive at the vehicle.

Bentley estimates it takes approximately 500 man-hours to craft and assemble the average Mulsanne. The unwillingness to embrace modern technology is the key to this time-consuming effort. The Crewe factory workers do not make use of a machine to create perfectly matched cross stitched leather seats. Instead they do it by hand. Drivers must park their vehicles manually, rather than relying on the built-in sensors to direct them to perpendicular and parallel spaces.

Bentley displayed its Mulliner personalization capabilities with the release of a special Mulsanne W.O. Edition, that pays tribute to William Osler, the founder of Bentley. The Mulsanne W.O. Edition pays homage to the founding father of the brand, William Osler Bentley. The 100 limited edition cars include keys that display the 1930 8 Litre crankshaft.
