Inline Lever/Lever

The sprung lever design allows the handle to be positioned and angled to ensure a comfortable experience and is suitable for all users. The handle has been tested for endurance up to 200,000 cycles, which helps to ensure the quality of the finish and performance of the handle over time. The sprung lever is adjustable to fit a wide range of locks. This is useful for doors with narrower openings where the cylinder is situated further back from the door. A shorter lever is a good choice for doors where the latch can be activated by the thumb turn on the inside.

Lever Pad

A Lever Pad door handle made of upvc functions differently from lever-type handles found on most doors. The handle can operate from a single spindle (inline) or independently from each side using two offset spindles or inline (pad). They are typically employed on UPVC doors with double glazed door handles glazing. They come in a range of finishes and variations.

The handles have been tested to the minimum of 200,000 cycles and are available in various finishes, including White Silver, Chrome, & Gold. The finish meets BS EN 1670:2007 Grade 5 and is also resistant to corrosion, thereby giving the handle a high level of durability and performance for its intended use.

All of the UPVC lever pad styles for handles come with a spindle and screws, allowing them to be put on an existing or new uPVC door. The backplate fixation centres of 211mm allow for a bigger handle, which is usually an advantage when replacing an old or faulty multi-point door lock mechanism. The handle levers are sprung, solving the problem of handles that slide out of their horizontal position when they are not being used.

It is crucial to match the PZ dimensions for both the multipoint lock and the uPVC doors when choosing a replacement UPVC spindle and handle. This measurement can also be referred to as 'handle centres or cylinder centre'. It is important to match the correct handles.

Euro Cylinders can be fitted with up to six pins with both internal and external doors generally having different levels of security.

Choosing the right cylinder is crucial; it depends on the way your doors and handle are used. External doors, for instance are required to be fitted with higher security cylinders and doors inside can be secured using a standard cylinder. Certain cylinders come with extra features that can improve security, like anti-drill or anti-bump properties.

To make sure that the euro cylinder is the right size for your door, it must be measured accurately. The cylinder needs to be measured from the central screw hole to the ends of the cylinder. This includes the thumb turn if there is one. It is best to do this while the lock is in place however when this isn't possible, you may remove it to measure. A cylinder that is protruding beyond the handle and escutcheon could be vulnerable to attacks such as snapping locks, therefore it is important to make sure it's not too long.

Most modern cylinders are constructed with bump and anti-drill features included in their design. They are designed to minimize the chance of attack by forcing cylinders to turn in a new direction. This will help to stop the attack and keep your doors safe.

There are cylinders that have been constructed to withstand snapping. This is a typical attack on cylinders. A specially designed tool is used to break the break line of the lock and then the front of the cylinder is snapped off. This is a lot faster and less difficult than opening the door with multipoint locks. It also leaves little evidence of a burglary, which can hinder an insurance claim.

Spring Cassette

These cassettes are a solution to broken or missing cassettes in the backplate of uPVC door handles. They have a square cut-out that can accommodate an 8mm spindle, and are available in a variety of.
