iRobot Black Friday Deals

The holiday season is the ideal time to eliminate chores of cleaning off your to-do list with smart robot vacuums. This year, Black Friday deals are more appealing than ever.

Save money on top-rated models like the iRobot Roomba Combo j5+ robotic vacuum and mop. This home appliance has an intelligent mapping feature, self-emptying capabilities and edge-sweeping brushing that prevents pet hair from accumulating.

Roomba j7+

The Roomba J7+ robot vacuum and mop is iRobot’s most versatile robot combo. It combines smart cleaning and self-emptying technology, and the best features of both products. It's an excellent choice for busy homes. The iRobot Home App makes it easy to set up your Roomba J7+ and begin cleaning.

The app will guide you through Wi-Fi configuration and the process is simple, although I had to install the latest software to my phone to enable it to work. After a few prompts, the app asks for your permission to connect to other devices connected to your network. It then locates your new robot. It is essential to update your app frequently because it includes updates for all of your irobot with mop products.

The j7+ will do the rest. It can make an outline of the area in just 20 minutes, and vacuum or mop with precision on any floor type. Its smart sensor system can sense rugs and hardwood floors and select the appropriate mode. It also knows how to use the side and power brushes, which help to avoid the tangles.

For my test, I used the j7+ to clean the family room, entryway and kitchen area with carpeted floors and area rugs. It also cleaned the upstairs hallway with carpet and two bedrooms. The j7+ worked well in each room, removing everything from dinner crumbs to film night popcorn pet fur and everyday dirt. It's also quiet, producing only 60 decibels of sound. This is about the same as a normal conversation, and is just a bit lower than the CDC's suggested levels for irritating noise.

The j7+'s most distinctive feature is its obstacle detection feature, which recognizes pets' waste, charging cords as well as shoes and other toys. You can also program the j7+ to stay clear of specific areas or objects. In my tests, I found that the j7+ could detect and avoid any obstacle.

The s9+ comes with powerful suction that's 40 times more powerful than the previous generation model. It also comes with smaller brush designs which is supposed to allow it to collect more debris in one sweep. It did well in my tests and picked up 95% of the Cheerios on carpet and 90 percent on hardwood. However, it did crush a few pieces of hard cereal, which caused them to skitter across the floor.

It's simple to set up the s9+ and use, because of its intuitive app. You can schedule cleaning and choose which rooms to clean and you can also make voice commands using Alexa or Google Assistant. The app allows you to check your cleaning status and battery life.

Once the task is completed after which the s9+ goes back to its home base, which can double as a charging dock and dirt bin. Its dust bin is easy to clean and replace and it's about half the size of other models. You can purchase another dustbin to keep in the bottom for additional cleaning.

The s9+ is able to work in tandem with the iRobot Braava jet M6 mopping robot. This is accomplished via iRobot Imprint Link Technology. It allows them to communicate and share data. The s9+ docks its Clean Base when it finishes vacuuming and informs Braava that it is ready to mop. This is a great combination for cleaning large, messy areas such as the playroom after an event like a birthday celebration. It's also a great option for cleaning up unexpected spills or sticky places. This robot is a fantastic option for any household.

Shark's AI Ultra

The Shark AI Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a 2-in-1 robot that combines powerful vacuuming for the whole house with sonic cleaning to thoroughly clean hard floors. It has an extra-large self-emptying dust bin that can hold up to 60 days of debris, which means you don't need to empty it as frequently. It has a better obstacle detection system than the majority of robots and is able to avoid obstacles such as furniture or pet hair. Some users have complained that the base fills quickly and doesn't empty easily as advertised.

The AI Ultra navigation system maps your home with 360-degree LIDAR. It creates a detailed floor plan and lets you set rooms as No-Go zones within the app. It also lets you navigate around objects and stay within the boundaries of your home, even in dark areas. The Ultra's mop also features UltraClean which scrubs the floor up to 50% faster than traditional mopping.

The navigational system is a huge improvement over Shark's earlier designs, like the IQ, EZ and ION. It has a precise matrix grid that covers the entire room in multiple passes, meaning it doesn't miss anything. It's also small enough to fit under tables and couches and it can climb over rugs and electrical cords without getting stuck.

The Ultra is more expensive than the Roborock Q5+ (9/10, WIRED recommends) however it's much easier to maintain and has a greater dirt capacity. It's also compatible with a dock that automatically empties and it does better job of maneuvering its own. It has a more powerful vacuum motor and is less prone to getting lost in thick carpeting. Despite its advantages, I still prefer the IQ robot vacuum cleaner due to the fact that it comes with a battery that lasts an extended time, a self-emptying container, and a superior navigation system. Shark's AI ultra is a great choice to get a more affordable vacuum. It has fewer components that need regular cleaning, has a similar battery life, and is built better. It's priced at $50 less than the Q5. If you're looking for a self-emptying bin, I'd recommend the Roborock.

Braava Jet M6

The Braava Jet M6 is iRobot's most advanced mopping robot. It makes use of a precise jet spray to dislodge and loosen sticky grease, kitchen spills, and other household grime, without damaging carpets or furniture. It can also remove pet stains and tough dirt, making your floors look like new. It's an automated cleaning machine that can be started and stop whenever you'd like. It is also compatible with smart home devices like Alexa or Google assistant.

Installing the m6 is a breeze. Connect the mop to its base station, and then fill up its tank with water. Then install the iRobot app and follow the instructions to connect it to your Wi-Fi network. Once connected the m6 is ready to start working. To begin a cleaning task simply press one of the three buttons directly on the unit or make use of the app to trigger an entire cleaning session. The m6 will automatically recharge when it is running low on power and can keep working until the job is done. It also comes with Keep Out Zones, which let you tell it to stay clear of areas such as the areas around your dog's bedding or a coffee spill.

The m6 uses less power than other vacuum cleaners. It requires only enough energy to spray the water, navigate its way around your home, and maintain a connection over your wireless router. During my tests, even a thorough mopping session that lasted for two hours didn't deplete the battery too much.

The m6 comes with three different mopping settings Standard mode that balances power cleaning with surface coverage; deep mode, which focuses on more stubborn mess; and extended coverage mode, which allows mopping that covers larger areas in less than half the time. You can also customize the settings of your m6 with the iRobot App. You can create a custom schedule that is controlled by your other smart devices.

The m6's cutting-edge vSLAM technology will map your home and guide it in neat efficient rows, sweeping every inch of your floors. It's small and compact and can be tucked under and around furniture. It has never been stuck or trapped in my house and isn't yet running out of batteries. You can control the robot with an irobot cleaner App or via voice if you own a Google Assistant or Alexa device.
