The Q Revo is a good option for those looking for an affordable robot vacuum and mop. It offers a great mopping experience, but doesn't have the features that make up its more expensive counterpart.

During testing it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats from medium-pile carpets. However, unlike other models, it doesn't use LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.

1. IRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It has a lot of features and incredible cleaning power, including the dirt compartment built into the base of charging. This robot can learn your habits of cleaning, and suggest automatic schedules to give you an effortless cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automatic cleaning functions at the touch of a button. You can select an overall clean which focuses on the elimination of larger pieces of debris like cereal and rice. Or you can select two detailed mappings to ensure that your entire home is thoroughly cleaned.

This robot vac performs well on both floors that are bare and carpets with low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and sucks large objects up. It doesn't lose suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It's not the best sweep and mop robot vacuum time with high-pile or plush carpet, however iRobot says it will improve in the future with new models.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that concentrates on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that has an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes this will allow it hug the furniture and walls. It's a nice change from the hockey puck-like design of most robovacs, though we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with a superior filtration system that blocks micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. We like the statement however, it's not enough to justify a higher price.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors to keep track of the arrangement of your home and vSLAM for mapping the interior of your home. This allows it to avoid obstacles, such as staircases and other barriers, and also to clean your entire house in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, and create virtual boundaries, so it can recognize areas that require more attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a machine that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vac settings are as effective as those of more expensive models and its mopping system is superior, as its spinning pads do a better job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

The only drawback is that it lacks a second rubber brush to provide more thorough cleaning, but that's an acceptable price to pay if you are looking for one of the top robots available. The dust tank of the robo-vac is bigger than most of its competitors. Filling it up takes only two or three times, even when you've got the most dirt.

For the mopping device, I was impressed with its ability to remove tough dirt from my floors. The two mopping settings that it has which are less powerful than high-powered ones, create little noise, so you can work or watch TV without being distracted. It will gently hit a wall or furniture and then move on if it comes across one.

The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost autonomously, with little user involvement. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that automatically transfers physical garbage into the bin hidden from view, as well as washes and dry the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app will only alert you when something is not right like low water levels or a vacuuming session that is cancelled due to a full bin.

You can also combine or create rooms to personalize the way Q Revo treats your home. This feature is useful when you have different flooring in different areas of your house or in the event that you have to regularly clear out clutter such as toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, removing debris from carpets as well as hardwoods in its first run. It can even vacuum up wet spills. I recommend drying the area with a towel prior to sending it into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo with all the features you could want. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it comes with a powerful vacuum with a powerful suction to clean hard and carpet floors, as well as the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough stains. It also comes with a self-cleaning base station that automatically empty and cleans the mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for use again. It also comes with a brand new sensor system that better detects obstacles, granting it the ability to avoid falling over furniture or other objects.

This model is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and cleans 1,500 square feet in one charge. And it has a larger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris, making it easier to empty when needed.

Additionally it is worth noting that the X2 Omni has a more user-friendly app and an assistant voice that works offline, which means you can manage it even when away from home. It also has more mopping options and a smart routing feature that gives it the flexibility to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of just following a set route.

The X2 Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested thanks to its rotating mop pads that scrub away tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming is excellent as well, and it boosts suction when it senses carpet to ensure it's doing a thorough job. It also has a huge battery that can last for weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as effective as anything we've seen in an ordinary robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a high-end mop and robot vacuum that comes with a range of convenience features you aren't likely to find on robots of this price range. It is able to create detailed floor maps and identify different flooring types. It's also among the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. Although these features are useful, they also make the L10s Ultra more in the category of luxury and could mean it's somewhat more expensive than some homeowners require.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It is tall and slim and has a white-colored finish, accentuated by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine features an impressive bumper that protects the furniture and vacuum cleaner as you move around your home. Sensors are hidden behind the front panel, which helps the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button which is used as an on/off switch. This button will activate the vacuum. By pressing it again, you can shut it off and send it to its base station. The circular menu in the center of the control panel lets you to choose cleaning modes, schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons will open the app's settings which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technology to map out your house. This creates a detailed floor plan that allows the robot vacuum and mop efficiently, without getting stuck in areas with clutter. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and identify them as obstacles, which is an excellent feature for households with pets or young children.

The L10s Ultra offers solid vacuuming performance, clearing 98.4 percent of the debris from our hardwood floor test and getting rid of all but the most difficult juice stain. Its mops also perform well, removing 98.4 percent of the debris from our tile, carpet, and wood tests. It was not as effective in removing sand from our hard flooring or quaker oats off the carpet.
