Lamborghini Enters the World of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs)

Following a string of social media posts that hint at it, Italian supercar-maker Lamborghini has finally revealed its first NFT (non-fungible token) project. Space Key was developed in collaboration with an unidentified artist and based upon advanced carbon fiber composite materials, which were sent to the International Space Station as research material, is a project that was announced by Lamborghini.

The new project - called the Space Key - is a piece of art created in collaboration with an unknown artist. The NFT is an exclusive piece of digital art that is accessible via the use of a QR code. The project is limited and will be auctioned off over the coming weeks.

The Space Key is made from carbon fiber composite material that Lamborghini sent to the International Space Station in 2019 as part of an investigation project. The carbon fiber was then crafted into a unique artwork when it returned to Earth. The carbon fiber has been 3D printed to form the basis of each Space Key, which is connected to an exclusive, purely digital artwork via the QR code that is on the back of the petron key to lamborghini. Five Space Keys have been produced.

At the heart of each Space Key is a block of carbon fire composite material that was shipped to the International Space Station in 2019 as part of a research project. After returning to Earth it was made into a QR code, which connects it to the digital component of the Space Key.

Each of the five Space Keys features a different moment that occurs at different times as the Lamborghini Ultimae takes off towards the stars. Each of five images was shot by photographer Fabian Oefner and contains over 600 million pixels.

Oefner used an inflatable camera fitted with a lens to capture individual images, which were then combined into the final photo. The result is a picture that is completely out of the world. It captures both the beauty of Earth and the futuristic, hyperrealistic picture of a lambo car key rising from the Earth. The Space Keys are going to be auctioned soon, but there isn't a specific date or time yet.

The auction
