The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a fantastic choice if you are seeking a robot vacuum and mop that is mid-range. It offers a great mopping experience but lacks the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.

During testing it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium pile. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the top-rated robots. It has impressive cleaning power and numerous features such as a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. The robot will learn your cleaning habits, and suggest automated schedules to provide you with a truly hands-free cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once the system is set up it can begin cleaning automatically with just one button. You can select an overall clean which focuses on the elimination of larger debris such as cereal and rice. Or you can select two detailed mappings to ensure that your home is thoroughly cleaned.

This vacuum works well on both floors with no carpet and carpets with low pile. It sucks up large items and doesn't lose suction as quickly as some other models, and it can even remove pet hair with ease. It's not able to work with plush or high-pile carpets however iRobot claims that future models will be better.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which focuses on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to be able to swaddle furniture and walls. It's a nice change from the traditional hockey puck shape of robovacs, but we discovered it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ comes with an improved filtering system that stops tiny dust particles and allergens from recirculating within your home. We think it's a nice statement but not enough to justify a premium price.

Its smart navigation system employs a combination of sensors to remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. This allows it to stay clear of obstacles, such as stairs and other barriers and to tidy up your entire house efficiently possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and schedule cleaning times, and create virtual boundary markers, so that it can recognize areas that need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robot that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those found on more expensive models. The mopping system is even better as its spinning pads scrub your floors much more efficiently than a vibrating pad.

The only drawback is that it lacks a second rubber brush to provide more thorough cleaning, but that's an acceptable cost to pay if want one of the best robot vacuum with mapping robots on the market. The robo-vac's tank for dust is larger than many of its rivals, and it takes just two or three cycles to fill it, even at the highest dirt level.

As for the mopping device, I was amazed by its ability to scrub the tough dirt off my floors. Its two mopping modes at the lowest, which are less aggressive than the higher-powered ones produce little noise, allowing you to work or even watch TV without interruption. If it comes across the wall or a piece of furniture, it gently bumps into it and moves along.

The Q Revo is unique in that it can run almost autonomously, with little user involvement. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that can automatically transfer physical garbage into the hidden bin, as well as cleans and drys the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app will only alert you when something is wrong for example, a low clean water tank or a cancelled vacuuming session due to an empty bin.

You can also combine or create actual rooms in order to customize the way that Q Revo treats your home. This feature is beneficial if you have different flooring in different areas of your house or when you have to frequently clear out clutter such as toys, clothes, and books. The robot vacuum was also among the top performers in my tests and was able to remove debris from carpets and hardwood floors in the first pass. It can also vacuum up wet spills however I would recommend cleaning them off with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo that has all the features you could wish for. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it is a top-quality vacuum with powerful suction that cleans carpets and hard floors, and an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also has an automatic cleaning station that washes and empties the mop pads to keep them clean and ready for reuse. It also features a new sensor system that can better recognizes obstacles, giving it the ability to prevent falling over furniture or other objects.

The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it is sleeker and more modern design thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best robot mop for laminate floors known for its Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still large--it has a height of more than two feet the height and depth and weighs almost four pounds. However the robot as well as its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can handle a full cleaning of around 1,500 square feet on one charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger dustbin that is more durable and can hold more debris which makes it easier to empty when needed.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that can be used even when you're not at home. It also has a smart routing function that lets it clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of following a set path.

The Omni X2 Omni has the best robot vacuum mopping performance of any robot we've tested due to its rotating mop pads that scrub away tough stains and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is also top-notch, and it boosts suction when it detects carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It also has a massive battery that can last for weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as efficient as any we've seen in a consumer-grade robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a high-end mop and robot vacuum that comes with a range of convenience features that you aren't likely to find on robots at this price. It is able to build detailed floor maps, detect various flooring types and is one of the few that can automatically wash and dry the mop pads. Although these features are useful but they also put the L10s Ultra in the category of luxury and could mean it's a little more expensive than the average homeowner require.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It is slim and tall and has a white-colored finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine has a large bumper that protects the vacuum cleaner and furniture while moving around your home. Behind the pane at the front is an additional navigation technology that is comprised of sensors that help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the screen, you'll find one button that basically acts as an on/off switch. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, and clicking it again will turn off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The central control panel is the circular menu which lets you choose cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons open the app's settings which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation techniques to help you map out your home. This helps the robot cleaner vacuum and mop effectively without getting stuck. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and identify them as obstacles, which is an excellent feature for households with pets or young children.

The L10s Ultra is a powerful vacuum cleaner, removing 98.4 percent of debris from our test on hard floors, and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice staining. The mops also work well, removing 98.4% debris from our carpet, tile and wood tests. However, it wasn't as effective in removing sand from the hard floor and Quaker oats on carpet.
